The 33rd annual Ride the Rockies tour takes place June 9th to the 15th. The race starts and ends in Breckenridge, but travels through Edwards, Steamboat Springs, Grand Lake and Winter Park.
Ever want to try your luck in gold panning? The Gold Panning Championships will be held June 16th to 17th, and all the gold panning equipment will be provided. This event is open to all ages and is free!
The biggest event of the summer, the Fourth of July, will have events during the week leading up to the big day. Come check out the Breckenridge Creative Arts Street Festival from July 2nd to 4th. This event celebrates streets, pavement and graffiti art.
The Fourth of July takes off with a 10k trail run followed by a parade and fun festivities! 800 mountain bikers racing in the 50-mile Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race will be the first to go down Main Street, followed by some incredible floats. The rest of the day will be filled with family activities and free live music and fireworks to conclude the celebration!
The Breckenridge Summer Beer Fest is July 7th and the streets will be filled with food, drinks and live music.
July 27th to 29th the Breckenridge Food and Wine event will have almost 300 bottles of wine present, and there will be food pairings, music and on Sunday there will be a brunch with champagne!
The Breck Epic takes place August 5th to 10th with an option to ride for 3 or 6 days. It’s the 10th anniversary and if you’re serious about mountain biking this is an event you won’t want to miss.
The Breck Spartan Race will be held from August 18th to 19th and will be broken up into a few different options. There’s Ultra (the most intense), followed by Beast, Sprint and there are some options for kids as well. This is an obstacle course team race full of climbs, crawls, carries and traverses. An exciting event if you’re up for the challenge!
The Breckenridge International Festival of Arts will brighten up the town with music and performances, visual art, films, contemporary circus, acoustic flow with yoga and meditation, workshops, talks and demos. This event will be held August 10th to 19th.
The Breckenridge Bacon and Bourbon fest is August 25th and will have lots of fun options regarding bacon and bourbon to choose from! There will also be dinner options and live music.
The Great Rubber Duck Race is one of the main events held during Labor day weekend in Breckenridge. There will also be free family activities all weekend like hamster balls, bouncy houses and a community mural. The annual Sidewalk Sale and the Gathering at the Great Divide Arts Festival are a couple other events taking place this weekend as well.
Get ready for the largest Oktoberfest street party in the Rocky Mountains! September 7th to 9th there will be more than 3 dozen German food and beer vendors, german themed games and polka dancing. On the fitness side of things there will be a 5k trail run and a USS Strongman Competition.
The Breckenridge Wine Classic will be held September 13th to 16th. There will be wine tastings, wine and dinner pairings, wine seminars, apres and adventure pairings and a great atmosphere!
Sept 20th to 23rd the Breckenridge Film Festival will be showing more than 70 films, premiers and forums.
Breckenridge Strings, Ciders and Sours takes place September 29th where there will be Bluegrass music and food pairings to go along with the delicious brews!
